Constructive Destruction

In the shadow of this wall is ice… Cold concrete, condoms and colts… Candy wrappers, clutter and crust… Roofless and collapsing… Waiting for nature to finish the job man couldn’t complete…  The earth gives us the materials for our existence… But it’s important to remember that the earth will also take them away…

The only green left clinging to this wall… Moss is able to grow because of the sunlight conveniently shining through the window… Consuming a board… That at one time secured this window… But now secures life… Life on an otherwise lifeless wall…

Natures destruction… Though sometimes Harsh and deadly… Is always on some level constructive… And beautiful… Using wind, rain and plants… Almost magically… Always final… Like Constructive Destruction…

  1. Lovely writing, Chirs. I especially enjoyed the alliteration. Great post, my friend.
