A Little Help from my Friends – Contrast

I had planned to spend more time on this post… But given that it is Spring… I have to go to work… Thank you for all of the supportive comments on the last post… But keeping with my statement that I will not be posting or answering comments… I hope everyone understands that I appreciate the support… And thank you for your kind words…

“Adder’s Tongue” – Frick Park – Pittsburgh, PA – I received so many comments after my last post that I had to follow it up with a contrasting one… My last post was a product of negative thinking… I put myself in it… My intention was to write a positive post… But things did not work out like that…

“Wake-Robin” – Frick Park – Pittsburgh, PA – Although my intentions were to write a positive post… My mind must not have been in the right place… I see the last post as a snapshot of my inner mind…

“Spring Beauty” – Frick Park – Pittsburgh, PA – So… Immediately after writing the last post I went to the woods… Although I was proud of what I had written… I had put myself in a bad place… And the only way of coping I currently have is to head to nature… And let me be the first to say… I got all up in nature this past weekend…

“Toadshade” – Frick Park – Pittsburgh, PA – I think it is important for me to stress that when I am writing… I can put myself anywhere… And in any frame of mind… I try not to go to my darker places very often… But when I do… It always ends positively…

“Woodland Anemone” – Keystone State Park – Westmoreland County, PA – We spent Easter Sunday in one of the local state parks… I climbed up the side of a mountain to try and find wildflowers… Sadly… I was a week early… But… As long as the ground is not frozen… I can typically find something beautiful…

“Trillium grandiflorum” – Keystone State Park – Westmoreland County, PA – I did manage to find a single Trillium growing on the South slope of the mountain… I have to admit… Being in the woods is spiritual to me… Especially in the deep woods away from the trail… By Sunday morning… I was back to my regular old self…

“Osprey” – Keystone State Park – Westmoreland County, PA – This photo is part of a larger series I will post later today… Although he came up empty-handed in this attempt… He caught more fish than I did…

“Bryson” – Whitney Avenue – Wilkinsburg, PA – I never post photos of people… Even though I am pretty good at taking photographs of them… So I decided to introduce you to my garden helpers this year…

“May Lynn” – Whitney Avenue – Wilkinsburg, PA – May Lynn is a returning helper… I have watched this girl grow up… She started her own garden in her front yard last year… But she still finds time to help me out…
