Spring Awakening – Me and my Cloud

Sunrise into the Moon – Soergel Orchards – Wexford, PA – Sorry I haven’t been writing much lately… It was a rough winter… Not much inspiration around these parts…

Just me and my cloud… Together at last…
Sailing the seven seas to heavens so vast…
Under the bright moon we toast to the stars…
Venus is to the west… In the north floats Mars…

Next to me sits a naked tree occupied by a crow…
Listening to the sounds of life stutter and grow…
Tree blossoms swell as the days grow longer…
The sun in the spring makes my broken soul stronger…

Above the earth floats a waning crescent moon…
Floating across calm waters we watch a single loon…
We watch the stars fall from the early morning sky…
Nature silence broken when the mourning doves cry…

Soldiers in the Sunrise – Soergel Orchards – Wexford, PA – These photographs are from the morning of March 17th… The sun was just beginning to rise into the sky… I hopped on a farm buggy and shot to the top of the hill… My arrival was just in time to witness a small sliver of the moon holding on to the sky…
