The 1% of the 99%

peace
We are the ninety-nine percent…
Says eighty people camping in a park…
You don’t represent me…
You don’t have enough bark…

Change will be of the people…
Not for the people…
Power lies in the government…
Controlled by the steeple…

So attack Washington DC…
Or attack the president…
It won’t mean anything…
He’s just an elected resident…

Instead of wasting resources…
Marching in DC…
You should have built a garden…
For the people to see…

Instead of chartering a bus…
Build a raised bed…
Do something that’s constructive…
Like keeping your neighbors fed…

So keep claiming ninety-nine percent…
While you reach for the one…
I keep trying to tell you…
Buy a hoe and trade in your gun…

I am very much against the building of a massive oil pipeline cutting our country in half, but my front line is my neighborhood gardens…

I actually stand a chance to win that war…

Take your own advice and think locally…

Occupy the Streets

TheForgottenFarmStand

Time to stand up and run from your seats… Get outside, let’s occupy the streets…

No better place than here, no time than now… Do what you do, and take your bow…

Sick and lame, your back and your pain… While most of the talkers sit and complain…

And life just endlessly passes them by… Sitting and wallowing, trying to cry…

Accepting paradigms stronger than you… Shouldn’t surprise, it’s always been true…

As the months pass, we all lose our drive… I just can’t wait for spring to arrive…
